Kevin Purdy was spot on when he wrote, “If you can read this, you probably don’t like Internet Explorer.” Admittedly, I don’t. Not the slightest bit.

Despite what everyone says, FireFox is still my first choice when it comes to browsing the internet. I agree that “Microsoft’s browser has ignored web standards, fallen down on security, and lagged the competition for more than a decade.” What I’m very much unsure is, “IE9 seems truly different.” I’ve never actually seen it and therefore I choose not to comment just quite yet. An announcement was made by Microsoft introducing the Zune HD, the first touch-screen Zune. Besides simply being touch-screen, the new Zune will have HD Radio and the ability of outputting video in… yes, HD. And yes, HD does stand for High Definition.

“The Zune music player is an integral part of the overall Zune experience, and we’re proud to be growing and extending our offering beyond the device,” said Enrique Rodriguez, corporate vice president of the Microsoft TV, Video and Music Business Group. “Delivering on Microsoft’s connected entertainment vision, this news marks a turning point for Zune as it brings cross-platform experiences and premium video content to living rooms around the world.” Read the rest of this entry »
