Looking forward to LG Eve (GW620) 1
Never really a Windows Mobile fan, was a Android fan, still a BlackBerry fan (what’s BB on?), and currently becoming an Apple fangirl.
It’s hard to imagine how far technology has come along. Beginning 2009, only HTC had their Dream running on Android, now, almost every other brand is, or will have a mobile phone, running on the Android platform. LG is no exception.
I’ve always wondered when LG would come up with an Android. Unfortunately, when they did, I’ve lost my “connection” with the brand already. So when LG Eve (GW620) appeared, it came as a surprise, and it came through reading tweets from other bloggers (AndyStorm, MrGadget).
I’ve been using LG mobile phones for the longest time ever. From the LG Viewty, LG KS20, LG Secret, LG Prada II, LG Joy, missing on the LG Crystal and LG Viewty Smart that is. And after using so many LG mobile phones, I’ve come to the conclusion that… well… it lacks reliability but it doesn’t lack design or technology.
LG mobile phones are usually super sleek (LG Prada II) or super cute (LG Ice Cream) in terms of design. However, if you put the phone in the hands of those that tend to drop or “mistreat” their phones, it’s good to say the phone wouldn’t last longer than 3 months. But if you actually take care of your phones, and appreciate design, LG is really not that bad a choice. In terms of features, running on a Windows platform, it really doesn’t lose out to the rest of the Windows-based mobile phone – can’t say the same for the prototypes though, experiences blue screen.
Anyway, I’m pretty keen on playing with the LG Eve. I’m curious to know if the phone is able to live up to expectations – design, features, usability, reliability.
According to Aaron from LG One, there aren’t review units available yet. When there are available units, I’ll be able to test it. I haven’t replied Aaron’s email yet, but I will soon. I’m still thinking of how I’m suppose to phrase, “Would you mind if I drop the review unit to test it’s reliability?” No seriously, can I?
