Becoming an Apple fangirl 3
It all started with the iPod I reckon.
When I went to Korea last year, I bought my very first pink iPod nano. Initially, I wasn’t head over heels about it. The only reason for the purchase was its price. It was cheap. Almost 50 percent lower than the price in Singapore. There was really no reason for me not to get it. After all, I don’t have a mp3 player then.
I’ve always wanted my own MacBook, as a designer it was somewhat a must-have in our gadget-list. But for years I’ve let it slide. I was somewhat loyal to Asus, insisting only to purchase their ultra-light pearl white notebooks. When netbooks became a craze, I had mine all by Asus too. But things kinda changed when I stopped working and decided to start my own magazine.
Finally, I got my first MacBook Pro. From there, it was Apple all the way.
I was determined to have a full Apple collection, I had to have the Mac Bluetooth mouse! I scouted high and low but everywhere I went didn’t have the stock. For a second, I actually considered buying it off the bear’s friends. They just got a new iMac for their office and I was pretty sure if I asked real nice they might just sell it to me. But the bear gave me second thoughts.
So, I’m still down with the mouse, in its place, I got the iPhone instead! Yes, the iPhone 3GS in 16GB and white.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve advice girls with fingernails like mine to stay away from the iPhone. I constantly remind myself, not to fall into the trap. Sadly, when my best friend and everyone else in the family got their iPhone… I lost my stand. I had to have it too!
Being an Apple fangirl is no easy task I tell you. You have no idea how difficult it was to get my devices. For days I went around the island in search of the iPhone 3GS 16GB white. I even resorted to taking the MRT!
When all seems lost, it popped up before me. After lunch with the bear’s folks at White Dog Cafe, VivoCity, we headed to StarHub to take a look. Guess what? The stock came in! The joy!
So now, I’m currently a happy Apple fangirl equipped with my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPod nano.
Well, in order to be an Apple Fangirl / fanboy in Malaysia, first, you must be rich. Second, you must be very very very rich. That’s why not much people are using Apple products in Malaysia. But I do admit that Apple produces fine product, and they’re not expensive if you compare the quality and things they offered with other brand.
