They do Windows Mobile too! In fact, one of the “Best Blogging Phones” according to Lauren Cooke of A Typical Atypical at Independent Fashion Bloggers (not me), happens to be one of their Windows Mobile piece – the HTC Touch Pro2.

On my birthday (yes, today), HTC announced/introduced the new HTC Touch2, a compact and stylish smartphone that is one of the first Windows phones, utilising Windows Mobile 6.5 and new services like Microsoft My Phone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

The key is on touch – literally in fact. The Touch2 is focused on delivering an advanced touch experience to a broader group of people.

“The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives,” said Peter Chou, chief executive officer, HTC Corporation. “Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.” – I like the way “in touch and in control” sounds.

The HTC Touch2 includes a variety of HTC enhancements including TouchFLO, an enhanced user interface that includes integrated weather updates and quick touch access to a variety of the most popular applications. In addition, the Touch2 includes Google Maps for Mobile, YouTube and more.

As a new Windows phone (both the Windows Mobile version and the phone itself is new), the HTC Touch2 showcases a supposedly powerful messaging, browsing and productivity capabilities delivered by Windows Mobile 6.5. It is said to offer a “best in class” e-mail experience complete with the ability to synchronize with Microsoft Exchange – you have the ability to check and manage multiple email accounts.

Like the HTC Hero, with the re-designed Internet Explorer Mobile and Opera Mobile, it supports Adobe Flash, enabling Flash video content, like YouTube!

The new HTC Touch2 will be available in Lofty Blue and Urban Brown from October 16, 2009 at all authorized resellers at a suggested retail price of SGD618**.
