Extend your phone’s battery life 0

The mobile phone has become an indispensable part of everybody’s life. Every couple of months a whole new line of mobile phones hit the mobile industry. Although technology has advanced a lot in the past few years, mobile phone battery life is still a major problem.

Here are some methods to extend battery life.

1. The mobile phone battery should not be charged after the battery has reached the fully charged status. In other words, overnight charging is a big no-no.

2. Turn your mobile phone off. If you’re going to bed, or you’re at work and do not plan on answering your phone, power it down.

3. Don’t use ringer and vibration mode together. The vibration mode alone can cause the mobile phone battery to drain quickly.

4. Say goodbye to wallpapers. They may look cool, but they also use a lot of power. A nice picture would be more ideal for this case.

5. Keep Bluetooth off when not in use. Or better yet, switch to a regular corded headset – they use lesser power.

6. Charge it less. Charging when you don’t need to (like when it’s at half power) can reduce the battery’s capacity. The average mobile phone charge lasts about three days.

7. Less application running, longer battery life.

8. The back-light of the mobile phone should be set to turn off after a few seconds. The battery drains quickly if the screen of the mobile remains on for a long time.

9. Check and clean your battery contacts. You can use a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol to wipe both the contacts and the battery compartment of your mobile phone.

10. The first charge must be done for 10 hours.
