Sony Ericsson: 3 new mobile phones and 1 speakerphone
Last month I attend the launch of Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow kiosks in Asia (and had an amazing sailing experience on the same day). This month, Sony Ericsson is knocking on the consumer’s doors again, announcing a total of four new products, which will be available in Singapore in Q1 and Q2 2009.
To start the ball rolling, let’s look at what’s available this quarter first.
Sony Ericsson AB900 Bluetooth Car Speakerphone
This is pretty straightforward. Basically what it allows you to do is stream your favourite songs from your mobile phone to the AB900 and it will broadcast them loud and clear over your car audio system.
Sony Ericsson W395 Walkman (available from Q1 2009)
Features:
- Slick slider with powerful built-in stereo speakers with high quality bass
- True music machine with Walkman music player, TrackID and PlayNow
- Motion gaming support
Clearly, without even going through the features, with the word “walkman” we can be pretty sure that this phone is catered to the music lovers out there. But I am not one of them.
Sony Ericsson C901 Cyber-shot (available in Q2 2009)
- Snap great shots with the 5-megapixel camera
- Put some light on the situation with the Xenon flash
- Catch the perfect smile with Smile Shutter
- Instantly post your pictures to the web with one-click uploading
Like the Cyber-shot cameras, smile and “you’re on camera”!
Here’s something that I don’t really get. What I understand is that the “C” range mobile phones from Sony Ericsson are camera focus. It’s quite a surprise that they intend to push out two of the same category (with differences in features no doubt) mobile phones in Q2. Oh well, who am I to say anything, right?
Sony Ericsson C903 Cyber-shot (available in Q2 2009)
- Snap really clear, big pictures with auto focus and the 5-megapixel camera
- Turn your subjects into stars with Smile Shutter and face detection
- View images on the big screen using TV-Out cable
- Tag a place-name to your memories or stay on track with aGPS
Have I cultivated an appetite? Unfortunately, I’m not able to tell you the price or when exactly the gadgets will be out in the market. So… Lets just “sit around” and wait. Hurhur.
