At nine-years I read Sweet Valley, this kid writes iPhone application
I know iPhones are really popular these days, but I never thought that a nine-year old kid would be interested in owning one, let alone talk about programming it.
According to Melanie Lee (from Reuters I suppose), nine-year old Lim Ding Wen from Singapore (yes, SINGAPORE) writes applications for Apple’s popular iPhone. His latest, a painting program called Doodle Kids, has been downloaded over 4,000 times from Apple’s iTunes store in two weeks.

The kid explains that “I wrote the program for my younger sisters, who like to draw” (sisters are aged 3 and 5). Basically what this programme of his does is that it lets the iPhone users draw with their fingers by touching the iPhone touch-screen and then clear the screen by shaking the phone.
This is seriously no ordinary nine-year old kid. Apparently, he started using the computer at the age of 2, and since completed about 20 programming projects.
Tell me, which kid, at the age of nine, is capable of being fluent in six programming languages? Geez. When I was nine, I was pretty much still engaged in my Sweet Valley series. Talk about advancement. Next thing you know, kids will be ruling the world! *Kidding*
Anyway. The boy, is in the process of writing another iPhone application, a science fiction game called “Invader Wars”.
PS: Sigh. I could use an iPhone right about now…
