I don’t know about the rest of you out there but when I think of Samsung Electronics, I think of mobile phones these days (which used to be LCDs, no thanks to WCG). Not that they do not have other consumer electronics devices of course.

Anyhow. This just came in. Apparently, Samsung introduced three new portable gadgets that will introduce a new level of fun to people on the move?

Samsung P3 MP3 Player: “Come alive at your fingertip”

The P3 boasts a variety of features with its slim 1cm profile. Features include a 16:9 widescreen video player, studio-quality audio player, integrated speakers, photo album, voice recorder, FM radio and even a portable storage drive in one compact device. It can also be paired with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, allowing owners to use the built-in microphone to answer calls directly through the player.

This mp3 player has a 3-inch touch-sensitive screen for video and photos and the upgraded EmoTure intuitive touch user interface with haptic feedback. With every command gesture, the P3 reacts with a variety of physical sensations. Also, the new Music Hot Touch Key, located just below the screen, allows users to instantly access the music player feature without needing to access multiple menus.

With the P3 incorporates Samsung’s updated DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology. Users can enjoy audio quality that more accurately matches the original tone.

The Samsung P3 mp3 player is available in black and silver versions with recommended retail prices of SGD299 and SGD359 for 4 and 8GB storage capacities respectively.

Samsung WB500 Camera: “Capture your world like never before”

The advanced 10.2 megapixel WB500 hosts manual controls, including the adjustable shutter speed, aperture, exposure and focus, WB500 users have a greater control in how they shoot images.

The WB500 is endorsed by world-renowned photographer Nadav Kander. It also incorporates both Optical and Digital Image Stabilization to reduce image blur. To have a substantially farther and wider view, it is also equipped with ultra-wide 24mm Schneider – Kreuznach lens and 10x optical mega-zoom.

With the WB500, HD video filming is a breeze. It can capture videos in 1280 x 720p high-definition at 30 frames per second. With H.264 compression, users can record longer videos with its better memory utilization. Additionally, videographers can now utilize the Optical Image Stabilization function, 10x optical zoom as well as various White Balance settings for video recording, which enables better control of film captures.

Incorporated in the WB500 is Samsung’s proprietary Smart Album program which allows its users to search for a specific image from the extensive file album that is stored on the memory card.

Samsung ES10 Camera: “Capture memories, everyday”

Designed for the budding photographer, the 8.1 megapixel ES10 comes with many fun-filled features which includes the Face Detection function that distinguishes faces from the background for brightness adjustments. The Digital Stabilization technology further allows for the capture of beautifully sharp photos, even in low-light situations. Beyond that, the Beauty-Shot function automatically identifies imperfections on one’s face, retouches them for a brighter and smoother face complexion.

This camera is also able to film video clips with its MPEG VGA resolution high quality recording functionality. Video filming is further supported with its 3X optical zoom and ability to capture videos at 15 or 30 frames per second. An array of video editing capabilities, such as pausing and still image captures, provide easy editing for the best videos.
